Man Replaces Finger With USB Drive
JERRY Jalavam, a computer programmer form Finland, has replaced a finger lost in an accident with a false finger with an inbuilt USB drive.
Mr Jalavam now has a two gigabyte finger.
Says he:
“It is not attached permanently in to my body, it is a removable prosthetic which has USB memorystick inside it. When I’m using the USB, I just leave my finger inside the slot and pick it up after I’m ready.”
“I’m planning to use anther prosthetic as a shell for the next version, which will have removable fingertip and an RFID tag.”
Warning: Readers are reminded that sticking fingers into electric devices can result in a loss of data.

One day, perhaps mobile telephones will be built into hands. In the thumb will be the earpiece and in the pinkie the microphone. Then all those people who mime ‘phone me’ by holding their thumb and pinkie outstretched at the side of their heads will feel exonerated.
