Chuch Tests Potential Priests For Gayness
THE Catholic Church and gay men:
MELBOURNE’S Catholic Church has embraced a Vatican suggestion to test potential priests for sexual orientation. Those who “appear” gay will be banned.
The head of the Vatican committee that made the recommendations has made it clear celibate gays should also be banned because homosexuality is ‘‘a type of deviation’’.
Says the celibate man in the long flowing skirts…

If you must know, I am studying for the priesthood at the Cardinal Newman Seminary in Birmingham. They let us practise taking confessions at the Little Sisters of the Poor convent in Edgbaston. A right miserable lot they are. Some of the younger ones make stuff up for us but most of the older ones haven’t got a charitable bone in their bodies. A surprisingly large number were let down by Yanks in WWII but they are tending to die out now. Thank God.

Best exciting news for the students when I went to a Catholic High School was when the Principal who was a Nun ran off with the Vice Principal who was a Priest! In the area where I live a happily married couple are an ex-Priest and ex-Nun. So the Church should really give it up on their abnormal law and false pretenses and let Priests and Nuns live normal lives in the open.

..I wonder how they go about testing them for deviant sexual behaviour…? and who decides….?

To be fair, most of the nuns I have come into contact with would have little chance of having a normal sexual life

Presume the Church didn’t give details on exactly what the testing will entail to determine their sexual preference. Wonder what they mean by “appear Gay.” If they are stereotying by appearance or by their voice thinking that person must be ‘gay’, do I have news for them. Many men who one might call rather effeminate acting or speaking one could classify as ‘hot blooded’ men. Then one sees a tall husky built sports player and thinks ‘oh what a man’ and that player is standing there looking at nearby man thinking ‘oh what a man.’
Best the Church spends its time testing candidates to the Priesthood for the possible ‘deviant sexual behaviour’ that has brought it much shame and condemnation for many years.
First and foremost though, it should take a good hard look at its abnormal rules forbidding Priests and Nuns to live normal sexual lives.

…aren’t they contravening some kind of law by doing this? or is the Catholic Church above sexual discrimination prosecutions? there again, it’s been anti-women for years and nobody has done anything about that….
