Doncaster Torture Boys Related To Baby P

by | 7th, April 2009

TWO boys are suspected of torturing two young boys before throwing one into a ravine. The BBC is live from Edlington, and viewers learn that the town is “in shock”. And there is “graffiti”.

And Baby P? Well, read on…

But the bigger story is that both suspects had been put in care by Doncaster Council. And that’s the cue for the Mail to play Tabloid Bingo!

The social services department in Doncaster has such an appalling record of caring for children at risk that it is known to social work insiders as the ‘Haringey of the North’.

Haringey…

This is a grim reference to the equally hapless North London council which failed to prevent the deaths of Victoria Climbie and Baby P.

Bingo!

Haringey is twinned with Praia da Luz, Portugal.
