MORE news of Susan Boyle, this year’s Britain’s Got Talent loveable loser. Susan Boyle is not famous because she can sing - she is famous because she can sing while being plain and “bearded“.
The Express looks on:
WITH her ruddy cheeks and mop of greying hair, this wannabe looks more like Ma Larkin from the Darling Buds Of May than the next West End superstar.
She looks nothing like Ma Larkin, the character based on H.E. Bates’ novels and short stories given ample flesh by Pam Ferris. Susan Boyle looks more like the rough winds that shake the buds.
And that is the same Pam Ferris who last year was shortlisted for an award for her role in The Entertainer at the Old Vic - London. Some West End superstar.
Having introduced readers to the world of literature, Elisa Roche, Express Showbusiness Editor, tells us:
But never judge a book by its cover – because 48-year-old, jobless Scot Susan Boyle will have the last laugh on Britain’s Got Talent this evening.
Er, no she won’t. The show’s producers will have the last laugh when millions tune in to see the media’s singing weirdo…

oh dear oh fkin deary deary me. Has it come to this? She only seems remarkable to the squawking masses because she is so fkin ugly. If the elephant man could whistle “land of hope and glory” in tune, would we be rushing out to buy tickets for his World tour. Susan Boyle is a turd and worst than this is the show Britains got talent, no irony intended. it is a breat big arse that squeezes out turds for the prole masses to gratefully accept into there empty hungry little cultural bellies. Take a look at yourself Britain then go sit in the corner and have a long hard think about whats happenin. i cant wait to fuckin leave. BNP, jeezus it cant get any worse than this!

WOW still get goosebumps every time I hear her sing, just a shame that she has hid this amazing talent until now, I just cant believe she could have kept this amazing reaction of simon cowell and crew quiet, as I believe the actual audition was quite a few weeks ago. I hope that she can cope with all this media interest now, and take all the hurtful comments on her hair and style of dress code with the grace that she showed on the night, my vote certainly will be for you Susan,

You who call her a weirdo and plain and bearded should be ashamed of yourselves.
I bet not one of you have a talent nearly as divine as hers.
Susan is an incredible person with and incredible voice and you dare to judge her like you think you are better than her?
You go Susan, you are already a winner in my heart and in many others as well.
Much love to you

35 - the article is not mean-spirited. The article highlights the way the media portray anything that’s new and not the norm.
April 14th, 2009 at 12:31 pm
Inspirational and a lesson to us all.
April 14th, 2009 at 11:56 am
I gather this article is supposed to be mean-spirited that it all the more contrasts and highlights the brilliance of Susan Boyle’s talent and pure character. I do hope she does get to achieve her dream of becoming a professional singer. That voice is amazing.

singing weirdo?? whoever wrote the editorial for this article would be lucky to have just 1/1000th of susan’s god given angelic talent, go screw yourself whoever wrote the text for this blog and realise what a false plastic moron you are. People like you have no skill/talent at all so they just write shit about ‘gifted’ people like this woman
April 13th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
This article is so mean. Why, what kind of issues does the author have? Susan’s voice is amazing. I hope she wins. And, even if she doesn’t she has shown the world that she is a winner just by trying. The author of this article- Loser!

Bravo, Susan Boyle!! I haven’t heard a voice that outstanding since Sarah Brightman! May all your dreams come true . . .
With great respect for your abundant talent,
Ellen Scheurich Soucy, USA
P.S. I know talent when I hear it/see it — I have picked every winner of “American Idol” and “America’s Got Talent,” with the exception of one . . . Jennifer Hudson (but I was right about her too!).

Thanks to people for posting the video on YouTube I am in Greece and can not watch the live broadcast of the show ”Britasin Got Talent” on ITV. Susan Boyle is amazing and yes she is going to be an international star, I can see her on Broadway and the West End. Go Girl.

“The show’s producers will have the last laugh when millions tune in to see the media’s singing weirdo…” I can’t but feel sorry that a paper has far more depth than the author of this appears to have.
She’s an unassuming, shy person who sang and walked off the stage thinking that was it - without knowing that she moved people to tears by her amazing voice. Susan - our wishes and hopes for you to win the competition.
“I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.” May you live your dream.

Breathtakingly brilliant !! Her future is assured , whether she wins the competition or not. Just unable to understand why Susans’ remarkable talent wasn’t noticed and acted upon much earlier in her life.
April 13th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
My goodness me what a gal. Her voice is tremendous and I look forward to her first recording. The expressions on Simon’s face were a real picture and one could see the pound note signs in his eyes. Be interesting to see Susan again when the make up and make over staff have had their go. A recording soonest please.

Susan you were truly amazing. I’ve listened to you sing several times now and I still get goosebumps from the beauty of your voice. I truly hope that you win. A fan from New Zealand

OMG, Is it not refreshing to suffer the humility of simplicity and pure brilliance?
I too was blown away by Ms Boyle and like many others I have watched her performance many many times with a similar adoration and respect. Ms Boyle has already won the hearts of the UK and lets hope she has plenty more to astound us with.
I do not condone the negativity of the “Lovable Loser” comment above, not only has this lady taught most people humility, she did it alone and in a very unassuming way.
When you can match her talent then you can gripe, but first take the wood from your own eye……!!!!

I’ve just finished wathing Susan’s clip for what must be the twentieth time and I’m still blown away. What an amazingly beautiful lady, what an incredible voice. I can’t believe that such an amazing talent has been hidden in the wilds of Scotland for so long. If there are any music industry people out there, sign her up get her in a recording studio. Never has a performance brought such tears of joy to my eyes.
April 12th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
Wow, what a mean-spirited article. Susan Boyle deserves better. (As does anyone)

I cried when I saw her. Absolutely fabulous. She should win the competition.
April 12th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
I cannot wait to one day see Susan Boyle live in concert. She is a breathe of fresh air.
April 12th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Already a thread going on this phenomenon

Note the celebrity section rather than media., The public keep those with true talent in the limelight, not the publicists awaiting their pound of flesh from beyond the grave.
April 12th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Truly wonderful ! I do hope that a recording company will sign the awesome lady and release a CD soon. Roll on the next heat!
April 12th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
This is goosebumps stuff!! I have listened to Susan over and over since the BGT, and I never tire of hearing her wonderful voice. This awesome woman brings tears to my eyes, and if she make CDs - I’ll be first in the queue to buy them. What an amazing natural talent, a truly extraordinary voice - a very rare gem indeed! I loved her - a star has to be born here - we can’t lose this one and let her get away. Best of luck for BGT - YOU SHOULD NEVER BE OUT OF WORK AGAIN SUSAN!!
