Britain’s Got Talent’s Shaheen Jafargholi Beats Susan Boyle
MOVE over Susan Boyle, here comes Shaheen Jafargholi to wow Britain’s Got Talent’s resident blonde Amanda Holden. As she says:
“It doesn’t happen to me very often but I do the goosebump test. I got it with Paul Potts, I got it with George Sampson and I got it with you.”
She didn’t get it with Boyle. Boyle failed to make Holden’s skin crawl.
And here is Shaheen Jafargholi. He’s cute. He’s 12. He’s got the sympathetic back story – he lives with his single mum. And he’s got his and dear old grandpa to walk on stage and solicit a big “Awww, shucks”.
Jafargholi played the young Michael Jackson in the stage musical Thriller Live, performing in Wales, Germany, Holland and Ireland on tour. Shaheen, who has also had minor roles in BBC dramas Casualty and Torchwood.
Shaheen has dimples and hair gel.
Here she is singing his version of Jackson’s Who’s Lovin’ You from the show…

He’s amazing. I love him. He got my vote. I believe there wasn’t a set up… but if there was … Whats the different … He got talent!
I do love Susan too but I love him more.
I wonder if he’s appeared in the first week and Susan’s appeared in the second week … I am sure He’d have much more fans.

rawr - experience…??? are you sure?
I thought one of the main points about this albeit talented lady was that she had no experience at all!!!!

I think he’s got a really nice voice and he’s also very talented but in a way I like Susan Boyle better, experience can be heard in her voice. Hope both of them does really well though, I’m sure that either way a talented person will win the show.

I think Simon Cowell is a tremendous judge of talent. Only he could know that singing Valerie by Amy Winehouse was the wrong song for a twelve year old boy. Only he could stop the song and ask if the wee mite could sing anything else. Only he could guess that the twelve year old boy woud have brought along a second backing tape with a really good choice of song on it.
It was probably he who did Susan Boyle’s hair and makup last week, because she looks a damn sight better walking the fields than she did on stage.
The one with the real talent in all this is SC.His talent is conning us the public and making money out of it

Ellen says: Does this mean that pros can also try out for this?
ellen, don’t worry…I don’t think we will be seeing Susan Boyle selling her body for sex on the backstreets of Arbroath anyday soon, as for Shaheen becoming a rent boy in the future….I seriously doubt it, him being a Michael Jackson devotee and all…
But who really knows? Fame is a fickle friend and fate can turn the best of talent into tarts….celebrity certainly is’nt all its cracked up to be.

I don’t understand. Do the Brits think it is fair to have professionals such as Shaheen participate in what is advertised as a contest for undiscovered talent?
Pushing this young t.v. star (BBC) is a absolute scandal and certainly opens the question if the show is fixed.
Without a doubt the Susan Boyle act made positive worldwide news. We only now need to wait and see if this Shaheen trick will give all of Britian a “black eye”.

Of course he’ll win! it’ll be another ‘George’ moment…. we know that historically it’s young girls who vote the most (TXT) and they naturally love these boys. How long before there’s a Shaheen thread? or, heaven forbid, will this be it?
Methinks Anorak may regret mentioning his name here! (or at least the moderators will)

…hopefully the “next one” will make Amanda’s botox boil & burst through her skin like an alien parasite, which then attacks Piers Moregone & Simone Crowell, eating them up from the inside out ( could take a while), leaving behind nothing but a slimey trail , where, once three half humans stood..
The Alien would get my vote ….especially if it can sing “Like a Virgin” as an encore.

This is going to be interesting. A 12 year old boy who sings a Michael Jackson song she said gives her ‘goosebumps’; a 47 year old woman who sang “I Dreamed a Dream”, and whose singing has conquered the world, she said it was a ‘privilege’ to hear her sing … I can’t wait to hear what the next one does for her!

A question: are performers auditioning for this show allowed to be professionals? Because being in musicals and going on tour….hmmmm. Does this mean that pros can also try out for this?

“Boyle failed to make Holden’s skin crawl.” Superb, Anorak. I sometimes forget how consistently funny you are. Somehow removed from the object by perceived proximity and false familiarity, perhaps.
