US Evengelist Melissa Scott Was Porn Star Barbie Bridges
MORE porn and religion now as US televangelist Melissa Scott confesses to Marie Claire that she once worked in the porn biz, notably as Barbie Bridges.

In his heyday as pastor, Doc Scott reportedly collected $1 million a month in donations and amassed an empire that included two horse ranches, a 35,000-square-foot mansion in Pasadena, a private plane, and a collection of luxury cars.
How did they meet?
Melissa became coupled with Dr. Gene Scott in 1995 during his pony girl phase of paying models to attend his church in the front row, while requiring the rest of the audience to stand and give the ladies an ovation when they entered…

Asked about the Barbie Bridges matter, Scott smacks her berry-stained lips and scoffs. “It’s definitely a freak show. I’ve seen a good portion of the stuff on the Internet, and honestly, I almost have to laugh at it,” she says, flashing the smile again. Pressed further, Scott sighs deeply, then adds, “Okay, I was never an actress in a pornographic movie. So what does that do? You defend that, what else do you start defending?”
That said, Melissa Scott really was a porn star, as confirmed by several acquaintances who knew her when she worked the adult-entertainment circuit as Barbie Bridges. Though it’s unclear when she adopted the moniker, by 1994 she’d already nabbed a title — Miss Nude CanAm Exotic — under the name. She posed nude, as Barbie Bridges, for Penthouse lensman Earl Miller and famed erotic photographer Suze Randall. At the time, Scott was married to Paul Pastore, who worked for an exotic-dancing agency called Fantasy Creations before launching a porn distribution outfit called Barbie Bridges Enterprises. (Among its titles: Backdoor Diaries and Heidi’s High Heeled Hookers.)

As with each of us, our past is between the individual and God. If she’s accepted Christ and sought sincere forgiveness, again between she and God, God doesn’t remember her past. The scriptures say that he forgets our forgiven sins as far as the east is from the west. We are all sinners, no sin is greater than another, so the person who judges Pastor Scott or Barbie Bridges certainly has plenty of their own sins to figure out. I personally know a lady who was a practicing witch and part of a satanic church. She’s now a Christian and one of the best speakers and witnesses for Christ than most. It’s those who seemingly go too far to be reached and somehow make it back and with testimonies that speak to power of God, and he can use these that in the worlds eyes were too lost to ever be reached to let others who feel they’ve just “gone to far” or “done too much” for God to ever accept them.
I don’t know if she has an “agenda” that is not of Christ or for his purpose. That’s for God to deal with, no person walking in flesh is in any position to judge another unless there’s proven scandal which certainly could be a possibility; we see it all the time with televangalists. I pray for her and commend her if she is what she presents herself to be.
I’ve watched her on TV and feel like I’ve been blessed by many of her teachings and messages. Maybe I’m being deceived, but we really do have to give people the benefit of the doubt. Don’t we all have something in our past that we’re ashamed of? I certainly do and that makes me no different than Mrs.Scott.
Seems I also read somewhere that Dr.Scott had these models riding stallions in thongs on his ranch. Maybe it’s all just another religious hoax and money racket.
I think I would be most impressed with her if she brough forth an account of her past regardless of it….the good, bad and ugly. Put it all out there, the truth does set us free. I think we can all agree that it/s naive to NOT question someone who dances around their past….if it’s truly been left in the past than there’s no dancing necessary. I’m leary of the church and Doc and Melissa, but I will let God be God.
