
Robot Miss Saya Teachers Class At Japan Primary School
IN Japan, the substitute teacher is Miss Saya.
Saya was created as a receptionist robot in 2004 by professor Hiroshi Kobayashi of the Tokyo University of Science.
Saya now works as a substitute teacher.
Saya can express six emotions — surprise, fear, disgust, anger, happiness, sadness — as her rubber skin is pulled from the back with motors and wiring.
Of course, to be a real teacher, Saya needs to master disappointment and not looking in the least bit wasted after lunch…
