Irish Ruby Player Snubs Queen? Picture
A PICTURE of the Ireland’s Grand Slam winning Rugby meeting Her Majesty The Queen. Did Ronan O’Gara shake the Queen’s hand - and did he first warm it..?
But that cut no ice with the charmless O’Gara who stood in front of her with his hands in his pockets and a typically Cork slieveen smirk on his face.
Stephen Ferris’s girlfriend Lauren Hood revealed that she was worried about how her curtsey had gone, while Stephen joked: “Well, I asked her for a pint of Harp and a packet of crisps,” he laughed.

Not rebellious at all. Simply following orders to keep hands in pockets. Prince Phillip had heard all about these Munster chaps and didn’t want them gouging anyones eyes

Fair play to O’Gara. What a legend. Why make a big deal out of someone who has nothing special about them. I would have done the same. The people taht deserve to be treated with the utmost respect in this world are the ones that suffer the most. Not some snobby old lady who is completely out of touch with the real world. You are a legend for life O’Gara!

ROG probably still can’t believe that old woman would be so disrespectful in the company of his royal majesty, humble as he is and all.

Probably a mild response to Martin Johnson’s snubbing of Mary MacAleese in 2003 when he refused to line England up next to the red carpet and made the Irish President plod through the mud to shake hands. And about as important. I am sure that HM has been snubbed by better men than than ROG, but probably not by a better fly half
