Fighting The Taliban In Pink Underwear
THE image is of 19-year-old US Army specialist Zachary Boyd fighting off a Taliban ambush in Afghanistan. That’s him in his regulation issue pink boxer shorts, bearing the legend “I *heart* NY”.
Says his dad Tommy Boyd:
“I knew he was a boxer guy, I knew that for sure. I did not know they were pink, and I didn’t know they said, ‘I love New York.’”
Says the motto on Old Mr Anorak’s sabre:
“You can always trut a man who tucks his vest into his Y-fronts.”

How many of those 200 were with his own side? Just curious

I personally know Mr. Boyd and he would never be involved in a fake photo. His integrity is beyond reproach. This young man turned down a full scholarship to a major university to serve his country. He visited me on leave and commented that in the 220 days he had been in Afghanistan, he had been in over 200 fire fights. These men are heroes.

And I know it’s your fault rather than AP’s or the NYT’s, but how exactly do you ‘ambush’ a fixed observation post?

War photographers never set stuff up for the camera? C’mon!

JonM - Are you saying the AP would publish wrong uns and that the New York Times - on whose cover the shot first appeared - would publish utter bollox as news?

And the Taliban are thinking, do I shoot the guy in the BRIGHT RED T-SHIRT or the FUCKWIT PHOTOGRAPHER standing on a rock behind him?
Fake, fake, fake.
