I hope you’re right, but if she didn’t claim diminished responsibility as part of her original defence, surely she’s assumed to be of sound mind and can be tried and sentenced as such without her letter? I’m far from being an expert on these things so stand by to be informed by someone who is

The fact that the Judge has published the letter leads me to hope it hasn’t swayed him much when it comes to sentencing
