Andrew MacKay Stands Down, Julie Kirkbride Next?
ANDREW MacKay - Mr Julie Kirkbride MP - will stand down at the next election. Says he:
“Following a conversation with David Cameron this morning I have decided to step down as candidate for Bracknell at the next general election.
“I believe I could be a distraction at a time when he is working to get elected as prime minister with the good working majority necessary to take the tough decisions to turn this country around.
I hope my decision to step down goes some way to showing my constituents how sorry I am about my own situation
“I would never forgive myself if my candidature distracted voters from the key issues and particularly David’s rousing call for change.”
Meanwhile, pressure is mounting on Mr MacKay’s wife, Ms Kirkbride.
Tomorrow’s News of the World claims “she allowed her 59-year-old brother, Ian Kirkbride, to stay rent free in her apartment in a stately home in Bromsgrove”.

Turns out the “ordinary housewife” who is behind the get Julie out petition is actually a leftist crank - seems her hubby is a Respect official. She was caught out on Jeremy Vine’s show today.

I must apologise for any confusion caused by my statement today regarding Julie Kirkbride MP for Bromsgrove. It was reported that I described Jule Kirkbride as an “effective” MP. Of course, what I meant to say was that Julie Kirkbride is a “defective” MP. In a statement possibly being released some time after I publish my memoirs for a large profit, I will of course be referring to Kirkbride as the “cowardly thief, who with her thieving husband, Mackay, defrauded the taxpayer, and then ran away to hide in the hope that everyone in the Country would forget what a disgusting dishonourable pair of thieves they are”. But I can’t say that until it is of some financial gain to myself. Sorry, old boy!

More thickening. It has been revealed that she employs her sister, on a part time basis, as an ‘executive’ secretary for a paltry £12k a year. The sister lives in Dorset, 140 miles from the constituency and 107 miles from Westminster. That Clears up the puzzle of why she needed 7 internet modems then.
We believe that Cameron has told her she must face her constituency in a public meeting this weekend. That’s going to mess up the ‘Britain’s got Talent’ final for a lot of Brumsgrovians. Sales of Sickles and Torches have shot up

The plot thickens. Alan Dent the Conservative Association Chairman for Bromsgrove has written to the local paper saying that Ms Kirkbride has the full backing of the Bromsgrove conservative party. Mrs Alan Dent, Rita Dent is believed to be Ms Kirkbrides constituency secretary and a district councillor. Ms Naomi Dent, daughter of Alan and Rita is reputed to have been the nanny of Angus Kirkbride and was paid as a secretary by Ms Kirkbride. It’s no wonder she has the full support of the association

June, the cost of a hip replacement in the UK is about £8,000, so that 21.5 hip replacements. I don’t know what the cost of cancer drugs is.

Incidently, when she remortgaged the property recently it was said that she was doing it to extend the property to cater for her growing family. The local paper revealed that the flat in question is a top floor flat. How do you extend that? One for the DIY SOS team I think

The NOTW also alleges that the fragrant Julie’s brother Ian also registered a business at her Bromsgrove flat. If true this makes a mockery of her claim that she had to keep the address secret to discourage her male admirers as the address will be freely available from Companies House. If true she could also be in trouble with her mortgage provider as you usually need special permission to register a mortgaged property as a business address. Unless of course she has paid the mortgage off and forgotten it.
