Police Debate The Taser Over The Punch
THE big debate in police circles is whether a Taser is as effective as a punch to the face or the head?
In this video, a 40-year-old man is plugged into the police grid before being punched. To facilitate study, the aid remains on the floor throughout.
Says one copper, who wishes to remain nameless and numberless:
“I had that Lindsay Lohan in teh abck of my cab once…”

Thought only armed police had tasers, so you’d hope they were at least half sensible. Tricky one this. He’s clearly non- compliant, we’ve not seen what he’s done, and, as far as this writer is concerned, both taser and the punch can be justified, under the right circumstances. But I’m not convinced if these are the right circumstances.
As a Prison Officer, we are trained to restrain someone with three staff, maybe four if you need to control the legs. But we certainly don’t hit people. I’ve been hit twice in my career, but I didn’t hit back.
Like I say, tricky one. We want the Police to keep the streets safe, but at what price?

when I was doing the job I used to do I was often in the copshop.(not because of my misdeeds you understand) I was there for hours in the custody area on one occasion at the time the new ‘truncheons’ came into use and they were like little boys with new toys flicking them around at each other. So macho….
I can just imagine their joy at having an opportunity to shout ‘tazer tazer tazer’ and then fire the thing a la a Glock in front of an audience! Macho again!

I miss the good old Truncheon. None of this new fangled technology and you always caught the eye of the ladies when working undercover.
