Katie Price Is Patron Of Duke’s Polo Event
BY now you’ll be wondering what Katie Price has been up to. Well, it’s turns out that Jordan’s become a patron of a polo tournament, the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy, featuring a huge shiny, oversized, tin-foil cup, and a trophy.
The Essex Cup features British and Argentinean teams competing against each other in the grounds of the Gaynes Park Estate, near Epping.
Dressed in plastic cowboy hats, leatherette chaps and horse, the best riders in Argentina and America will go at it in a field.
Price will officially start the match, present the trophy to the winning side and take part in that most traditional of all polo events: the charity fashion show.
Says Katie Price:
“I would really like to shatter the image of polo as an elitist sport. It does take an enormous amount of skill and courage to ride a polo pony in a competitive match, but it should be open to everyone to enjoy a great day like this, as well as raise a lot of money for charity.”
Free horses for all! Tally-ho!
Or as the Americans would put it, Tally-ho bitch!”

‘It annoys me that everyone seems to adopt this view and make nasty comments, when they dont actually know her personally’.
Nobody knows her, or them personally, they only have the sad comments she makes on TV and in the paid-for gutter press.
Both of them should really disappear from the public view to reflect on how they are responsible for damaging the life of the next generation of those that buy into the utter crap they profit from within the fifth rate colouring mags and the shit that oozes from the programmes currently in the can.
K+P Stateside is a real misnomer, they are not famous for anything worthwhile, one to avoid for media studies undergraduates. People can do better than to learn off these two.

Dairy - I understand your point, however it winds me up when people criticise her for information that has simply been shoved down their throats by the media in order for them to make as much money as possible. I dont believe the Peter is as much as a saint as you might think. I am sure that he has sniped her back just as much as she has to him, however, the media only seems to single her out because of her old reputation and the fact that they believe she should be depressed from a split rather than enjoying herself. It annoys me that everyone seems to adopt this view and make nasty comments, when they dont actually know her personally.

Emma - people don’t look down on her for going on holiday…. they look down on her because she is behaving like a complete slapper and making herself look an idiot and a nasty piece of work by ridiculing and vilifying the father of her children at every possible opportunity.
Peter Andre is also on holiday, but rather than being out on the town putting it about, he is with his family and the kids.
…there’s a bit of a difference, don’t you think…?

Yes well you might criticise her for her recent behaviour, but at the end of the day she is on holiday enjoying herself and who doesn’t when they are on holiday? With her recent split from Peter Andre she deserves to give herself a break and get away from it all. Its not her fault the world looks down on her for something that everyone does and she does not let it get to her. For that she is really brave!

yeah - and what a great image she is portraying at the moment on their behalf….

well i think that its great that Katie is the Patron for the Polo Cup! She is really showing that she can keep her head held high in such tough times by concentrating on raising money for her charity VISION which benifits Blind, Visually Impaired and Dyslexic children. She combines two things which she is passionate about; her charity and horses. Way to go Katie!
