Allah urges us to forgive an act intended to harm us,not once, not twice but thrice.
And even then if the perpetrator refuses to see the light, then we must defend ourselves. Islam is not a new religion. It is the religion of Adam and Abraham.
We believe Jesus Christ, Moses, Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Prophet Mohameed(may peace upon them all) are all equal, but Prophet Mohammed was the last in line and the ‘Seal’ of the Prophets(may peace be upon him)
We are taught to honor and respect all of them equally. Which is why WE CANNOT GO OUT OF OUR WAY AND CRITICIZE THE JEWISH OR THE CHRISITIAN FAITHS, because we consider them to be ‘People of the Book’.

And for those who criticize Islam, it will do you good to read it in the context of circa 600 A.D. Islam was the VERY FIRST RELIGION TO PROPOUND THAT ‘ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE ENTITLED TO EQUAL RIGHTS’. It was not your declaration of independance. Inspite of your great declaration you enslaved millions of people on the basis of merely their skin tone for nearly 2000 years. You stripped them of their dignity, abased them for more than 80 per cent of the time your nation has been in existence. Pardon me, but look at your own ‘human rights’ record.

On the other hand the first person to read the Azaan, that is the call to prayer, was a man of color who was freed, known as Bilaal. Islam bestowed such a tremendous honor upon a man nearly 1500 years before, who in your country would not be able to dine in a fine hotel, ride in the front of a bus, live in an upper class neighbourhood, or get a job better than a waiter in your country till the year 1960.

Islam was the first religion to grant EQUAL rights to women.It gave her the right to divorce if she was unhappy or ill treated in a marriage, it gave her the right to educate herself, it gave her protection. 1000 years before ANY nation gave a woman the right to vote.

The Prophet’s (M.P.B.U.H)first wife was an educated and independant businesswoman.So it is ridiculous what the Taliban preach and do by not allowing young girls to go to school. Islam was the first religion to ban female infanticide which was rampant in those times. It instituted poygamy as an institution to protect widows and slave girls who were forced into prostituion, had no legal recognition or rights and were abused and treated mercilessly by a tribal and backward society. Eight of the Prophet’s (M.P.B.U.H) nine wives were widows.And he had one child with only one of them.To be sure, it was only a LEGAL arrangement. It was a measure to guarantee safety, protection and dignity to the women who were ostracized and exploited by the prevailing society.

WHAT THE TALIBAN OR AL- QAEDA SAY OR DO IS NOT THE REAL ISLAM. IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE REAL ISLAM. ISLAM CLEARLY SAYS “LET THERE BE NO COERCION IN RELIGION”. IT CLEARLY SAYS ” YOUR RELIGION FOR YOU, AND MY RELIGION FOR ME”. In the Prophet’s time (may peace be upon him) all non- Muslims where allowed to practice their professions and live their lives peacefully. It is forbidden for us to be the first aggressor in Islam. We must act and are allowed to act, ONLY in self-defence.

To those who criticize Islam without knowing the fundamental truths about it,
you are really at a loss. Islam is a simple, plain and beautiful religion. It is about being humble before Allah. It teaches us that Allah abhors those who strut arrogantly on earth.

Whatever be Michael Jackson’s religion — He had not a drop, not an iota of arrogance in him. In spite of his super stellar fame, his mesmerizing talent, his colossal material wealth - the man was a humble, child like, truthful human being.
I doubt he ever spoke a harsh or cruel word to anyone in his life. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be like him. Whatever religion he was, he was from God, from Allah, from Jehovah. He was touched by Him.

God bless Michael Jackson. Regardless of his religion, i love him.
