Blind Man Who Saw Again Charged With Lewd Conduct
RENAY G. Poirier of Eau Claire, who lost his sight more then 15 years ago only to have it restored in a medical marvel, is charged with lewd and lascivious behaviour, allegedly exposing himself in his car.
It is alleged that in August of 2008, a witness did see Poirier’s car parked in the Manz Elementary School car park. Within was a man in ski mask.
According to arresting officers, Poirier claims his alleged actions were a community service, to highlight stranger danger.
Mr Poirier was blinded not by his avid and, some might say, frenzied vigilantism but by an electrical explosion…
