Lives Lost As Wind Turbine Manufacturing Plant Shuts
WILL ED Miliband, the Secretary of State for Energy, step in to the row at Vestas Wind Systems factory in Newport, Isle of Wight where around 20 staff are staging a sit-in protest following the company’s announcement to close the wind turbine manufacturing plant with the loss of all 625 jobs at the end of July?
This was the Ed Milband who opined:
“The government needs to be saying, ‘It is socially unacceptable to be against wind turbines in your area - like not wearing your seatbelt or driving past a zebra crossing’.”
So, Ed, what you going to do – nationalise the plant to save lives?

A big hand to ThWART (The Wight Against Rural Turbines) who, in the fine old Island tradition of opposing anything that might represent progress, will no doubt be rejoicing tonight.
I’m incredibly sad for them, jobs here are very precious…
