I wonder how Kate and Gerry McCann feel reading the story of Jamie Neale, the British teenager who was lost in the Australian Outback for 12 days, given up for dead, then miraculously found and reunited with his tearful father.
This turns out not to be an invitation for the McCanns or their PR to get in contact and empathise - to get some press - but a rhetorical question. Being a journalist, Carole knows without asking:

Looks like father and son fell out some time ago and the father is trying to cash in on the son’s survival. There was plenty of ground coverage for the young man to take cover under and fresh water. Its a micacle he survived and good on him. He is the survivor not the father.
