BBC TV Presenter Caught Wounding Teenager On CCTV
BBC reporter Ashley Blake is guilty of unlawful wounding and perverting the course of justice. Blake, 40, who presents Midlands Today, denied attacking Greg Jones, 17, outside his Place 2 B bar in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, in January 2009.
As the BBC reports:
Blake was arrested at the scene and, when interviewed by police, denied wielding the pole. He changed his story when shown CCTV footage of him fetching the pole from behind the bar.
On this week’s Inside Out:
Ever had the feeling you are being watched on camera?

Pity he doesn’t play for Liverpool. He could have claimed self defence then.

Yes, that’d do nicely. I initially kinda felt sorry for him, thinking young kid kicks off in his bar, etc, but I read in the Daily Express that he has previous convictions! I’m feeling a lot less sorry for him now, I have to say.

Something like “he may be a child molester, but at least he’s an equal oportunities employer”?
