Ronnie Biggs A Life In Pictures And Crime
GREAT Train Robber Ronnie Biggs has been released from prison. Justice Secretary Jack Straw says Biggs is so ill he should not be in jail.
Biggs has had three strokes, can communicate only with the aid of an alphabet board and is fed through a tube in his stomach.
The probation report tells us:
“Due to the significant decline in his health he would be highly unlikely to be able to participate in the planning or commission of further offences and I assess the risk of reoffending as low. Mr Biggs will need to reside in a placement with provision for 24-hour nursing care on release.
“Provision has yet to be identified as discussions are taking place between Norfolk and Barnet Primary Care Trusts as to which authority will fund his care.”
August 1963 - Biggs marks his 34th birthday by takign part in the robbery of the London to Glasgow mail train, stealing £2.6m (£50m in today’s money).

well no real surprise there then - nothing short of a miracle in terms of recovery…? how his son bleated on about his father being at death’s door, couldn’t speak, couldn’t feed himself and then - wonder of wonders - Jack Straw sees fit to set the criminal free on “compassionate” grounds and the next thing we know, there are photos of him looking extremely healthy and apparently “declaring” that he will live until at least Christmas…!!!! the old b*****d has stuck up 2 fingers yet again at the British public and his son is just as bad - give the man an Oscar for the tearful performances in front of the camera….
they both make me sick….
…and Jack Straw should be thinking less about freeing yet another criminal (the Libyan - and yes I know it’s Scotland but don’t tell me he hasn’t got any influence!) and more about miscarriages of justice like Michael Shields.
it’s a disgrace.

Hope none of our tabloid or “celeb” publications pay for any interviews with him or his son. What are the chances of Katie Price being seen out and about with him or maybe a night out with Jack Tweedious?

I’m somewhat cynical about this, but its something , I suppose, that he cannot give interviews etc.
Just wondering when the miraculous recovery shall be, and there is too much airtime given to his son.
I’m also somewhat doubtful about the woman who arranged a pregnancy to save herself from the death penalty in Laos, and no doubt will be freed here in a couple of years, even though it was real heroin and not the alleged stuff.

Will his son be deported after Biggs pops his clogs, I wonder, or will he also be free to drain our resources? I just hope Biggs is in a lot of pain. He deserves it.

call me cynical, but I find this a bit uncomfortable - this man was convicted as part of a criminal gang, escaped prison, went to Brazil and stuck 2 fingers up at British justice for over 30 years; then, when he became ill, he ” suddenly” decided to come back to the UK, do the decent thing and give himself up? - b****cks!!! he only came back for the free NHS care in his declining years - if he had remained fit and healthy, there is no way he would have come back.
he has never expressed any remorse for his involvement in what was a serious crime in those days and yet Jack Straw sees fit to let him off his prison sentence with a pardon?
…and yet Mr Straw still drags his feet over the case of Michael Shields, who is still in jail, wrongly convicted - a young lad innocent of a crime to which somebody else has already confessed.
Biggs was guilty as hell and he has been let off - where is the justice there?
