Sex And The City Star Wins Child At Adoption Fair

Sex And The City Star Wins Child At Adoption FairA SEX And the City star has adopted a child at something called an adoption fair. First one to throw up on the Tea Cups wins Sarah Jessica Parker.

Anorak’s Man in the Hollywood Swamp has more:

And to think, geeky gay guy Stanford Blatch used to be The Pack’s favorite recurring character on TV’s Sex and the City.

The actor who played him, Willie Garson, just adopted an 8-year-old son named Nathan.

That’s a good thing.

But see if you draw the same conclusion The Big Cheese drew after reading a couple of Garson’s comments about the adoption fair where the two first met:

“It’s like a pet fair — as horrifying as you can imagine. It was really hard. The 16-year-old fat ugly kid, who has probably been to thirty of these, knows he’s not going to get adopted. Like everything else, cute wins.”

But it’s what Garson said in the next breath that cheeses off the Rat Pack:

“I couldn’t believe my kid was actually available for adoption. He’s so
cute and sweet. ”

So nice that Garson helps perpetuate the tradition that says the old, fat and unattractive kids never get parents. We’re so happy for him that he was able to get a “cute and sweet” one.

We can’t help but wonder if Willie was Nathan’s first choice.

By the way, imdb.com attributes the following quote to Garson. Oh, the irony:

“Not everyone looks like Brad Pitt. There are people in the world that look like me. I think people feel that I could be living next door to them. That has much more effect on me”. - RR

Maybe he’ll grow to look his new pet, sorry, child..?
