Demi Moore Joins Gordon Brown’s Cabinet Of All The Talents

gallery_main-demimoore-twitter-butt-0323091REMEMBER when Gordon Brown ushered in the end of the Age Of Celebrity, a shiny time in which politicos became politicools under Tony Blair and his Blairios?

Gordon Brown was a traditionalist. For him celebrity was out and VIP was back in vogue. Sarah Brown, Gordon’s wife, took up the mantle and was soon photographed with such VIPs as Paris Hilton (says Sara Brown on Facebook: “Loved Paris Hilton…nothing about her public image prepares you for the first meeting. She’s a smart, caring, considerate person. Who knew?”), Naomi Campbell and JK Rolwing.

Now we join Sarah on Twitter, as she makes contact with new VIPs, some of which she hopes to meet. Sarah Brown has book to publicise, it’s all about the plight of women in the developing world and very worthy of VIP attention?

So Sarah Brown got on Twitter and having accessed the page of Demi Moore, US Secretary of Twitter, she penned:

‘Spread the word (in the U.S.A)!’ – ‘Half The Sky by Nicholas Kristoff & Sheryl WuDunn comes out 2day’.

And… and… And nothing Demi Moore has yet to reply. The Daily Mail explains:

In terms of Twitter etiquette, it’s rather like being ignored at a social function. Demi Moore is “nonplussed”.

It might be that Demi Moore is not looking at her Twitter page, and has taken her eye off the PC to research some more material to Twitter about, such as not having cometic surgery and not being in a film?

Or that A-list celebrities know their worth and no jobbing PR is going to use them so cheaply to further their pet cause and their husband’s ego?

At least Tony Blair had the decency to buy the celebs a drink, albeit with our money…
