THE whale of Bournemouth is dead. Gilbert is no more doing wonders for the area’s tourism. The playful northern bottlenose was to be the region’s symbol, her little face on cards, sticks of rock and brochures.
Call the pall bearers. Blow away the pall of whale air that hangs over the beaches.
