Percy… Some years ago when I was travel writing, I was in Florida out on the Everglades. I took close up pics of alligators with my singing and dancing cost a lot Canon eos with assorted lenses. Husband took close up pics with £10 Fuji disposable.
Yes there was a difference but not much! (I was not happy. He was!)
Now use a cheap digital and the expensive stuff hangs around at the back of my office gathering dust.
Stunning photography..not just for their content but also for the quality. I don’t own a Brownie but have a Prefect with the same meniscus lens as a Brownie…I have never been able to take pictures of this quality and clarity though and as for my digital Pentax camera being able to compete or compare…forget it….its junk and only manufactured to last for as long as it takes to breakdown…which is about the time it takes to unpack it from its flashy box…..I wonder if it was made in Japan ?
