New Free Mobile London Newspaper Takes On Evening Standard

evening-standard1 WITH the death of the London Evening Standard as a paid-for newspaper it’s going free comes the end of the Evening Standard street vendors.

The self-employed street vendors earn 12.5p for each 50p copy sold. They will be replaced with salaried staff working for a contractor, paid by the hour.

One day the streets of London will be chock-a-block with magazine and news sellers, shouting the news to one another as locals with their ears plugged into breaking 24-hour news and eyes locked
