MTV tells us that Susan Boyle’s debut album, ’I Dreamed A Dream’, is “on track to being the biggest pre-ordered album in Australian history“.
Having vanquished Rolf Harris – the original hairy angel – Susan Boyle tells the world:
“It was my greatest ambition to release an album, and I have finally achieved it. This amazing journey has helped me find my own identity and fulfil my wish.”
All her own words, ther folks. Just like those songs. Meanwhile. on South Africa’s Got Talent:
There’s talent to be found in a 6-year-old drummer as well as in a 58-year-old opera singer who is given a second ‘chance in life’ thanks to Susan Boyle’s inspiring success in Britain’s Got Talent.
When we first read that, it looked as if the 6-year-old drummer was thanking Susan Boyle for giving him a second shot at fame.
Give it time…

Spectacular recording from what I’ve heard of it. This lady is truly gifted. I hope the newly found fame doesn’t mess her up.

Stanley, From wikipedia
“Oasis were an English rock band that formed in Manchester in 1991. Originally known as The Rain, the group was formed by Liam Gallagher (vocals and tambourine), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass guitar) and Tony McCarroll (drums, percussion), who were soon joined by Liam’s older brother Noel Gallagher (lead guitar and vocals). As of June 2009, Oasis had sold over 70 million records worldwide.[1] They have had eight UK number-one singles, fifteen NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and five BRIT Awards, including one in 2007 for outstanding contribution to music.”
They’ve split up now of course because Noel has run off to open a clothes shop

Why is my previous comment still in moderation?

Stanley - the merits of Susan Boyle’s voice are second to her looks, which have - and do look at the Susan Boyle watch section - cured the recession, killed cynicism, evoked angels, evidenced Jesus, killed the reliance on beauty and brought the world together. She is a hit because the media is amazed that a normal looking woman can hold a tune…

How do you know what kind of music Oasis make if you don’t know who they are and how do you know you don’t like them?

What kind of snotty, snarky commentary are you people peddling? Ms Boyle is both a tremendously gifted and talented singer and a remarkable human being. ‘percy stilton’ is an even bigger jackass than you people are! Susan Boyle, as apparently you are unable to understand, appeals to those who care about both beauty of voice and intelligent lyrics, that is to say, singing not screeching. In other words not the morons who would listen to Oasis, whoever in God’s Green Earth they are.

What a shame….I was hoping & praying SuBo was going to cover an Oasis track on this album ….I would have paid good money to have seen…and heard… Noel Gallaghers reaction….Needless to say… I wont be buying SuBo’s selection now…or even never.
