Saudi Woman Divorces Husband For Calling Her Guantanamo

IN Saudi Arabia a woman is seeking divorce from a husband who nicknamed her ‘Guantanamo‘.

While browsing a list of contacts in her husband’s mobile phone, she happend upon her own number, filed under ‘G’ for Guantanamo.

His wife was affronted at being compared to a maximum security detention centre that allows the inhabitants no moments of privacy. She has decided to end their 17-year marriage.

But she is not an unreasonable woman, and will settle for “substantial” financial compensation, enough money to build her shattered infrastructure and compensate her for a breach on her human rights.

She will thus remain married to him and work towards building lasting links through mutual co-operation and his ‘n’ her orange jumpsuits…
