Virginia Trioli’s Crazy BBC Audition Airs On ABC Australia

ABC’s Virginia Trioli produces a show reel tape for the BBC Breakfast News.

The tapes shows, Trioli in her current job on Australia’s ABC News Breakfast just moments after Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce has been talking about the Government’s proposed Emissions Trading Scheme to tackle climate change.

Trioli has apologised for letting the tape air on the telly before BBC producers had had the chance to see it.

One BBC news producer tells us:

“Widening and narrowing our presenters’ eyes to convey the meaning of a story might no longer be enough. We may soon have to equip them with placards reading “WHAT A ****!”, “THE JEWS DID IT” and “AWWWW. SHUCKS!”
