Mechanics Revisit Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Ferrari Scene
FANS of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, will enjoy the story of the Reddich, Worcestershire, garage mechanics who took a customer’s Vauxhall Monaro on a 125mph joyride.
An in-car computer recorded the adventure for the owner’s perusal. He tells us:
“The Monaro was supposed to be in my local friendly garage having a radiator leak fixed. In fact, the boys in the garage were out having fun.”
Or as we like to put it, “testing its roadworthiness.”
The video of the ride is hereunder, after this short bit of nostalgia:

That video is not there anymore, sadly. Anyone know why!?
Steve, even though I drive a Vauxhall, I have to agree with you. I get lots of chavs admiring my “ride”!! LOL

Give then their due, it is only a Vauxhall.
The mechanics probably have to spend half their day dealing with oiks complaing their Corsa after market spoiler of the keeps digging into the speed hump at the local Pizza Hut, the Nova alternator doesnt allow neons to work in the daytime, and the rest of the day ordering more clear indicators for the spotty chavs in the town.
It’s not like they were abusing a classic, or a sports car.
