Suzanne Breen Faces Large Bill After Police Fail In Real IRA Demand

WHAT now for Suzanne Breen, the Sunday Tribune northern editor who would not hand over her notes on the Real IRA’s claim that they killed two soldiers and wounding of four other in March to the police?

Sappers Mark Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, from London, were shot dead as they collected pizzas outside their barracks in Antrim on 7 March.

In June, Judge Burgess ruled in Ms Breen’s favour, recognising that handing over the files could place her life ain jeopardy.

Breen is now saddled with a possible £25,000 legal bill. The judge
