In other states the police drop by their houses frequently during the evening to say 'hello' to them! Hence, the ones the parents fear the most are under lock and key, so to speak, for the evening. However, parents still can't rest easy. There are those unknown crazies in the neighborhood who put needles, tacks or other things inside the candy they pass out to the little ones and all candy has to be checked the little ones collect up and down the street. Teens aren't any real problem on Halloween night. They have rather harmless fun and quite interesting in their many choices of disguising themselves with makeup and tattered clothes. Some look as the characters right out of "The Night of the Living Dead" and others as characters from any other horror movies that strike their fancy.
