Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann To Appear On BBC And ITV Interviews
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann: Madeleine McCann is on the cover of the Sunday Express. Says the headline:
McCanns launch TV blitz to find Maddie
If only the Express group and owners had TV channels they could use to help. Of, course, they do:
We interrupt this edition of Teen A*** Sla*s on the Fantasy Channel to bring news of the appeal to find Our Maddie.
We must all do what we can to help. The Sunday Express tells us:
KATE McCANN will take part in a round of heart-rending TV interviews this week appealing for anyone who has knowledge of her daughter Madeleine’s kidnapping to come forward.
The heart-rending is separate to the appeal?
The 41-year-old mother has been keeping a low profile for months but has now decided that she wants to take a more active part in the effort to find her daughter, who would now be six.
A low profile, such as when she ran a chaory race with a pocure of her missing daughter on her chest, and who in September told us, via a press conference:
At an emotional press conference in Lisbon she admitted: “I cry for her every day.”
Has the Express any more facts?
Madeleine vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz on the Algarve on May 3, 2007.
Yes. And this pretty much all we do know. So what next in the hunt for Our Maddie?
Kate will join her husband Gerry for a series of face-to-face interviews with the BBC and ITV.
Why would they need to be interviewed? We are being invited to watch the parents, as ever. To the McCanns it’s exposure. To the media it’s filler and a chance to look caring. And to the watching millions at home it‘s an opening to experience, vicariously, some emotion. In short, the McCanns in interview is entertainment.
And in a new move they will also speak to several Portuguese TV journalists who are flying to London later this week to interview the couple.
A new move, such as when Kate McCann and her husband Gerry McCann spoke with Portuguese paper Expresso in September 2008.
And still the Express goes on:
Last month Kate travelled to Lisbon to meet her Portuguese lawyers and also gave a brief interview to Portuguese TV, saying she cried every day for Madeleine.
Remember that “new move” in Kate McCann speaking to Portuguese journalists?
She works closely with their private investigators David Edgar and Arthur Cowley, who believe the answer to the riddle lies within a 10-mile radius of Praia da Luz.
And who also believe Raymond Hewlett could have involved and a fat Victoria Beckham look-alike walking about in Barcelona could have been involved. Or in Australia.
Madeleine McCann – creating front-page news from a single fact for over two years…

It’s all too late now as some would say. I see The Star reports that Maddie is now a Muslim. Truely the dark side.

The twins? Not John and Edward again. They’ve gone too far this time
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:47 pm
Nope, the BBC didn’t mention the pants, though they did ask about the twins.

Oh come on. Even the Australian Police must know she’s still missing. That should be ’something wrong’ enough even for them
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:25 am
The Australian Federal Police are now putting their support behind the McCann’s new plea. Its a wonder the AFP haven’t worked out something is wrong.

Yepee!!
I just can’t wait for this next installment.
It’s all so entertaining. (I never understood smoke and mirrors before)
Then we can blog away for months discussing every detail of what they say. (or don’t say)
I hope they trip themselves up as usual. They are the best bits. It’s certainly become the best soap of the decade, but only because of the 2 leading characters.
The only sad thing is the “catastrophy” that happened to an innocent little girl two and a half years ago.

No doubt we’ll get the usual revealing interview questions on the breakfast tv sofas:
‘How are you feeling, Kate? How are the twins? Do they ask about Maddie? Every day? And where can viewers send the cash, you must be a bit short, what with Christmas coming up..? Are those the pants that smell funny?’
(I made the last one up.)

The new website says…The World is still watching…if you know something ,say something…I pressed to enter site and found I could not enter…
The Sunday express have been going out on a limb with articles on the Mccanns. It is the norm for other papers to print the same. The helpful Express has cleared up for us how Madeleine was abducted and that their were two abductors who even cleaned the crime scene…its sister paper has even told us that all three children were indeed drugged.
I have searched and searched and cannot find one newspaper who is carrying this story. I have to then ask ,are the Mccanns aware that they are doing all of these interviews this week?

“She works closely with their private investigators David Edgar and Arthur Cowley, who believe the answer to the riddle lies within a 10-mile radius of Praia da Luz.”
Hmmm … they don’t specify “INLAND”.
There might be some truth in the statement.

You have forgotten to mention the part where the Mccanns Cops were heading fast to Sweden to find the girl at the Motor Show…The clothes the child was wearing appear to be all from BEBITTA,,,Maybe the ‘Agents could start there’..Also this child had her ears pierced…someone getting this close must have seen her eye…Why has this not been reported. ANORAK…you really must keep up. Have a good day.

Could be that the McCanns are looking towards a career in film making starring themselves.

“From day one in the public eye and that first appearance of Gerry McCann telling the world of his missing daughter, followed by the first public appeal for help in finding her I sensed something different and not quite right. Then I predicted the story would run and run….it still is”.
