US Forced Fort Hood Murderer Nidal Hasan To Join The Army
A READER writes on Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 people at the Fort Hood Army base, Texas.
MY brother Joe, out in Oregon, and called me this morning to talk about the shooting. A quick background on Joe, career military officer in the Army, served in Vietnam, and retired after 25 years in.
He said ‘to use your favouite expression this was a royal fuck up by the Military and Military Intelligence!’
1) Hasan joined the military to get his education paid for and thus owed them years of service. He had made it very plain in writing many times to the military he was a conscientious objector and speaking out very much against the war and and had fear of going over. He even offered to pay back the military what his education cost them.
They refused to release him, Paul, even knowing his claim of being a CO and very much against the War.
2) He had several bad reviews - what did they do? Promote him!
3) He was being harrassedby other military personnel re being a Muslim and reported that - they did nothing.
4) They were fully aware of his rantings and beliefs about the War over the years, determination to leave the miltary, and the fact he was of Jordanian descent, a practicing Muslim, and they should have taken heed - what did they do they ignored him.
5) As Joe pointed out to me the moment they found out about that posting he should have been put immediately under Military Intelligence surveillance and closely watched especially with all the background they already on him from him in their files, i.e. vehemently against the war, rantings he had and continued to make to others, etc
6) Joe said there is a possibility he was placed under surveillance and they were checking his emails, checking his background, friends, etc., any ties in Jordan, and possibly did he belong to a terrorist cell here in the US.
7) The very fact, Paul, they went to great lengths to deceive the press and public by making false announcements about his death and supposed other ’shooters’ and got him out that room w/o anyone realizing who they were taking out alive brings up grave questions. What did they really know about him and realized they royally fucked up letting go around the base freely?
Joe said if they had concerns about him he should not have had free acess to walk around the base at whim and will. What did they want to find out from him the 6 plus hours they kept it a secret he was alive? They knew he belonged to a terrorist cell and were any other attacks planned on other bases?
Frankly, I think they needed the time to cover their arses and get their stories straight about what they did or didn’t know about him.
Anyhow,as a former Army officer Joe srongly feels this is one big fuck up by the Military Intelligence!

You are being far too gracious, Dr Eggman! The only ones who worry about offending anyone are those enlisted men who worry about offending those in ranks or the officers above them! Those bars and stars in the military who have spent their careers with their heads stuck where those bars and stars should be shoved are in for a real rude awakening! I’ve sat and listened to the words said “we in the Army are one big family” on the news so often I could scream. The powers that be knew about that major who wanted out and knew the problems he was spouting but they didn’t give a tinker’s damn about truly looking into any problems, after all he was just a soldier in one big happy family.

Cheryl, maybe no investigations were carried out into the Major’s behaviour because everyone’s so damned scared of offending anyone these days. I’ve seen it happen in my job, albeit on a far smaller scale than what happened to your brave soldiers. I detest racism but have seen the “race card” played many, many times.

ricmic, “Never Forget 9ll” - who could forget 911! That one could possibly be rated the biggest fu of all fu’s by this Government. There had been warning signs for many weeks that something was amiss that the various individual intelligence agencies were aware of and none of the individual intelligence agencies shared their information with the other. A young FBI agent was told about these ‘foreign’ men paying for flying lessons with cash at a private field. He looked into it and wrote a memo to the upper echlons expressing his suspicions that something was going on and it should be followed up on. What happened to that memo? Absolutely nothing! It sat on a superior’s desk and collected dust. What happened to the foreign men paying cash to learn to fly planes at a private field? They hijacked big airplanes and used them to kill over 3000 people.
So here we go again, everything pointed to a real potential problem with one Army Officer and those problems didn’t just crop up over night, all the signs were showing up over the years in various and asundry ways. They were ignored just promoted the guy! It nothing else over all those years brought them to attention it should have been when they became aware of, and they acknowledged they were awareof , his posting on that site. They were going to investigate it but hadn’t gotten around to it yet. So, it has taken 13 dead and 30 wounded soldiers with one civilian to get their attention and now they are running around like chickens with their heads cut off investigating the Major!

Your out of your mind murderer… Going to war! The murderer was a”doctor:” Paid for by the service made a deal went back on his word Murdered the defenseless Joe.
The sad part is you believe this crap and a lot of others do to. Let Joe get murdered and see how’s ass you kiss.

A lot of that sounds like it could be true.
Trouble is violence leads to more violence and one suspects the extreme elements of both sides will be itching to have a go at each other. Anyone got Jack Bauer’s phone number?
