What did Prince Charles say?

The heir to the throne is alleged to have made the extraordinary comments about the monarchy during a tour Down Under where he is reported to have told told [sic] dinner guests that he couldn’t understand “why Australia bothered with us – we are really yesterday’s news”.

Last night the Prince, who is no stranger to courting controversy with his anti-establishment views, was under pressure to explain his comments in 1977 which have now been published in an autobiography.

1977 is well beyond being “yesterday’s news.” But the Express is the “World’s Greatest Newspaper” - it say so on the front page. It’s a fact.
