HAVING spotted Shakira performing at the O2 centre one day earlier (pictures here), Anorak was at our alma mater to see the Colombian address students at the Oxford Union. Shakira was invited to speak at the world-famous debating society – 186 years in existence. Shakira, it says here, is talking about her charitable deeds in South America in her role as an ambassador for UNICEF. They come to listen – and maybe to spot Shakira wearing a pair of very giving hot pants while crawling along the floor giving full throat to “Lucky that my breasts are small and humble”. Says she:
“I must admit I am somewhat mystified as to why you are here, as there won’t be any singing or any hip shaking whatsoever. So how do I go from Barranquilla, Colombia, to occupy the same stage as Newton and Churchill? Lord knows I’m no Mother Teresa.”
She’s no Kerry Katona, neither…

This is my Queen, my Goddess, my beautiful one, treat with ease, if you please! I will be interested to read exactly what my wondrous one said to the gathered dons in their ‘dominium’. Shakira’s words can be somewhat confusing to those of a lesser IQ of 120, which will pretty much include all the incumbents and their crew! Oh! well, at least they will have a nice view! Oh! I wish I was there! Why did they kick me out? I can’t remember!
