BNP Legal Officer Says Arson Attack ‘Not A Crime’
LEE Barnes is the BNP’s legal officer. He hears that “Sangatte II”, a French centre for immigrants has been hit by arsonists. This is an illegal act. He writes on his blog ‘The French Rise Up‘:
When governments do not listen to the people, then the people will rise up against the government.
This is not a crime, this is an act of National Liberation.
Arson sounds like a crime to us. Or is he saying that people “rising up” is not a crime, rather than arson? It seems, at best, unclear.
Mr Barnes is the BNP’s legal officer. If he says setting fire to a building is “not a crime”, you’d expect him to be versed in the law. If a legal brain is reading this, can they tell us about the state of French law? And then explain how the BNP stands for the rule of law?

Janice, you said “Similar to blacks having to break laws in the US to get fair treatment in the 60’s etc………….” are you from here in the US to make such a statement? What laws did they “have to break to get fair treatment” please tell me? It was the racists and the sick bigots, such as those people posting on here with their sick views and statements about the Muslims, that kept the Blacks from being treated as equals over here. Blacks did not have to commit crimes to get their Civil Rights. We had the Civil Rights movements down South, and the Whites who were not all racists and sick bigots, went down there to help the Blacks get their equal rights and our marches up here side by side with the Blacks to get the Civil Rights Laws passed. The espousing by some on here of burning the Mosques is the exact same thing the racists and White Supremists over here espoused against the Blacks and they did burn out their homes, their churches, killing adults and little children in those churches and homes.and murdered Blacks and the Whites, who went to help them, in cold blood.
Looks like the article you posted, Anorak, brought out some of the members of the group who met with the White Supremists years ago here in the US.

Whats the percentage of genuine asylum seekers maybe 1% or 2% at most. The vast majority are crooks and scammers. Notice how the majority are able bodied men in their 20s-30s.
The fact is that they are legally mean’t to claim asylum in the first port of entry. If they are at Sangette they have already broken this law and its obvious they want to cross to the UK because they see us as a soft touch. The UK is considered an easy country to claim benefits in and steal from. Any measures brought in to stop these scavengers from entering the UK have got to be a good thing IMHO.

There’s a world of difference between and illegal immigrant and a genuine asylum seeker, the BNP aren’t in a position to see that either.

I think the intent of his remark is that if the government won’t apply the rule of law (which they clearly do not in their favourable treatment of asylum seekers) then the people have a right to take matter into their own hands.
Many would agree with this and wasn’t it in fact Labour themselves and their unions who used this justification for many of their actions in the past? Similar to blacks having to break laws in the US to get fair treatment in the 60′s etc………….
Surely if the government applied the laws on the books to stop illegal immigrants and asylum seekers then the BNP wouldn’t be in a position to begin with to suggest an uprising etc?

5 – in no way is Mr barnes “complicit in any illegal act.” The point is that the words can be read as an opinion that violence is acceptable and the rule of law can be broken. No? This seems to be a strange position for a party of law and order that seeks the vote. No?

Anorak what Lee Barnes said : “When governments do not listen to the people, then the people will rise up against the government” is actually originally a quote from the US war of Independance. It is a fair and legal statement to make and is often quoted in the US by both parties on a number of issues.
His opinion seems to be that the arson attack represents “the people” doing this and it is in his mind not a crime to “rise up” against what he considers the invaders. He may be right, he may be wrong but either way its only his opinion and its a stretch to say he is complicit in any illegal act.
Sounds to me like he is just concerned with the levels of illegal immigration to the UK. Asylum seekers are mean’t to stop at the first country of entry to the Eurozone I believe? So why are they trying to cross the channel?

It is a crime. The worst kind of crime. All European legal systems are shit hot on damage to property. You can set fire to people but burn down a building and you are in deep doo doos. I notice that muslims have become ‘filthy’ after only two posts. Four days after Christmas and we’re burning mosques. Jesus would be turning in his grave if he hadn’t risen already

Try reading what he said again, you obviously aren’t a lawyer. Either you are too dumb to understand the language distances itself from the physical attack or you are just up to no good trying to implicate the BNP in the attack. Either way you are talking bollocks.
Most people here would think they did a good job anyway burning the place down and it would be nice if we could replicate this over here and make life a little more difficult for the asylum seeker parasites..
