by | 7th, January 2010

nolanEVERY crisis needs a hero and here is Newcastle United footballer Kevin Nolan helping save a vet form certain snowy doom. Says the Sun:

Big –hearted footie star Kevin Nolan stopped to help a stranded driver.

Oh?

Vet Tony Sarma had been stuck for 30 minutes in snow when the Newcastle ace spotted him…

What did Kevin Nolan do?

He couldn’t tow Tony with his Bentley…

Might that be Bentley Brooklands, a car possessed of “the most powerful Crewe-built V8 ever produced, developing 530bhp (395kW) and a maximum torque of an astonishing 774lb ft (1050Nm), the highest ever torque output of any V8 automotive engine in the world”?

Bentley, as Ettore Bugatti once observed, makes “very fast lorries”.

… so he went home to get his 4×4 Range Rover.

And saved the day?!

By the time Nolan returned, Toon fan Tony had been pulled out by a van…

Van driving ace of no name hailed as hero! Read all about it!!!
