The Daily Star can reveal cage-fighter Alex, 34, had no idea that he was flying off to get married until they left London on Monday. And British law states that both the bride and groom have to be fully aware of what they are doing if the ceremony is to be declared valid.

British law… he was married in America. As for a “legal loophole”, this sounds like very obvious legal fact. The story is losing its own thread. But the Daily Star presses on and manages to weave a few tops names into the PR-driven narrative and sow the seeds for a big magazine deal wedding:

Legal experts told the Daily Star yesterday that an annulment can be granted on two grounds. He could argue – like Britney Spears, 28, successfully did – that he was incapable of making a rational decision, or he can say he was tricked into taking his vows.
