Liza Aziz Withdraws Complaint Against ITV And Offers Excuse

by | 25th, February 2010

LISA Aziz quit ITV for personal reasons after withdrawing, sex, age, and racial discrimination charges against colleagues at Plymouth based ITV West, writes AGW in the Forums.

The first ever Asian woman national news anchor had been suspended in July last year from her West Country slot – said to be paid a staggering £150,000 a year and one of the highest paid provincial tv posts.

The suspension was over the most mundane of likely media crimes/mistakes: an allegation of fiddling expenses. That sort of action itself suggests an unhappy ship and crew down the road in the nation’s Dockyard.

Lisa then made the withdrawn allegations while “angry and unwell,” in December last year.

Lisa, 47, thanks ITV for her happy four years there and says she is to pursue her career elsewhere.

Yes, um, ah, well? Has anyone asked Sky – Lisa was once their little darling – if they would ever have the, said to be, angry and unwell Aziz back?
