What strikes me is that the Tapas 9 seemed happy for the public to think that none of them had the slightest feelings of love and care for their children.

According to the mendacious Clarence Mitchell, "everyone in Britain" goes off drinking leaving their toddlers and babies alone in unlocked foreign holiday flats.

He insulted every responsible parent in the UK. And while we could think that one or two Tapas couples might be wildly feckless, it was impossible to accept they ALL dumped their children in favour of booze and lamb in tomato sauce.

They also all, as new parents, chose such a child-unfriendly holiday. All day they were playing tennis, wind-surfing, jogging etc, and the poor little kids flung into creches.

Is it really possible that even the Oldfields cared so little for their one, diarrhoea-ridden and endlessly unhappy baby that theydumped her with the creche teenagers day after day?

Anyway, as an evening treat, the parents left their toddlers/babies again to carouse at the Tapas restaurant.

Avoiding their children once again is one thing. But surely the Tapas restaurant didn't provide excitement enough for these spoiled, sophisticated, demanding people.

If they were bored by their children, they would have been even more jaded to have to bear the same company, the same restaurant, the same routine, the same menu every night of their holiday.

Middle class couples in a holiday group HAVE to do different things. They don't go round in a herd day after day, night after night - unless there's an imperative reason to be seen to stick together.

And why was Diane Webster there if not to make herself useful? Surely she stood in as a group babysitter more than once so the "young people" could go to Chaplins or some other nightclub.

What an insult to mothers who actually do some mothering.

Not everyone believes the McCanns played a part in Madeleine's disappearance...but almost everyone in the world thinks they are guilty of horrendous neglect.

The BBC producers really do lack the most elementary common sense.

Kate McCann is a pariah as far as most of us are concerned.

So the fools decide to put her on a Mothering Sunday show??
