Madonna’s ‘Private Diaries’ On Sale? No Word Yet From Melissa Crowe

by | 1st, May 2010

WANT to buy what is claimed to be Madonna’s private journal? Anorak’s Man in LA reports:

NOT since someone obtained diaries, racy photos, used sex toys and other contents of a locker abandoned by Paris Hilton, has a storage facility’s contents been so talked about in Hollywood.

It would seem that a woman named Melissa Crowe forgot to pay the rent on a store-it-yourself locker and the contents ended up at auction, as they often do.

Melissa, it turns out, was Madonna’s personal assistant from 1987 to 1996.  You might remember a scene in Truth or Dare when Madonna throws a birthday party for Melissa and reads a poem she wrote in her gal Friday’s honor.

Anyway, the contents of Melissa’s storage shed included journals allegedly written by the Material Girl herself.  Although her longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg, denies they ever belonged to Her Madgesty.

But the contents of the storage locker did include at least one old Ciccone family photo that includes Madonna, shot as a tot.  It’s date-stamped March of 1959 and shows baby Madge with, mama, papa and two of her brothers.

But perhaps as interesting as the photo… a not-so-little black book (actually gray) containing contact information for a 1980s & 90s A-List of celebs, from Matt Damon to Dennis Hopper to Antonio Banderas.

The Rat spoke with two old friends of  Melissa’s who both say they lost track of her sometime after she jumped off the Madonna train and joined up with Julia Roberts.

Meanwhile, the lucky guy who stumbled upon this rare find has put the merchandise up for auction on e-Bay, and claims in a note on his posting there that he has received an e-mail from someone who “could have been Madonna herself” threatening to make it a police matter.

By the way, he’s asking a minimum bid of $2.5 MILLION for the set of journals. The photo and little black book are substantially lower in price.
