WITH impeccable timing, soldiers from the Grenadier Guards arrive at Brighton County Court for the inquest into the death of Guardsman Jamie Janes, 20, who was fatally wounded while on a foot patrol near Nad e-Ali district centre in Helmand, Afghanistan, on October 5 last year. It was Guardsman Janes, 20, of 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, whose death sparked a furore after Gordon Brown misspelt his name in a letter of condolence to his mother, Jacqui Janes.
