The 100 Least Women Friendly Mosques In Great Britain Are…
BEYOND Satire of The Day comes to us via the Bolton News, wherein we learn that “THREE Bolton Mosques are among the top 100 ‘women-friendly’ in England”.
Which are the 100 least friendly, then?
The three that are friendly towards women are: Zakariyyah Masjid mosque in Peace Street, Daubhill; Farnworth Mosque in Granvill Street, Farnworth; and Masjid Noor Ul Islam mosque in Prospect Street, Halliwell.
Better yet:
“Zakariyyah Masjid received the top rating of five stars while the others were given a four-star rating.”
Masjid does dry cleaning, runs a 24-hour buffet, offers cable telly and has a spa. Five stars is all. The results are based on researchers assessing 486 mosques.
The directory, by the interfaith and conflict resolution organisation, Faith Matters, contains 50 mosques which have met all five criteria and 50 where four of the standards have been met.
The other 386 not on the list have been reclassified as gentlemen’s private members’ clubs and will show live football 24 hours a day…
