by | 20th, July 2010

THE Democracy Village opposite the Houses of Parliament is gone. Says one tourist: “With all those tents and hippies I thought I’d finally be able to score some decent hash. But there was nothing. These people make me sick.”

The makeshift camp known as Democracy Village was removed in the early hours after losing a Court of Appeal battle to stay there last week.

It will be replaced by various monuments.

July 21-August 3: Fox hunting
August 12: A pheasant shoot.
August 14-29: A Darfur refugee installation (weather permitting)
August 30-31: Gerrof Moi Land! Peasant Shooting.
September: Prince Edward’s Village Greene. The Weed In Tweed (TWIT) sits on a large ducking stool as royals attempt to slap him with a wet flannel.
Christmas Bazaar: Sarah Ferguson sells land to Arab sheikh.Lily Allen performs.
