Police Taser Brings Down Simonstone Knifeman – Echoes Of Raoul Moat

by | 21st, July 2010

THEY Might Be Raoul Moat Number 3 is Simonstone Man. As the Clitheroe Advertiser yells:

“In echoes of the recent Raoul Moat operation, Simonstone was plunged into terror when dozens of armed police swooped on Bank Terrace at 7-30 a.m. and the village was put on lockdown.”

As reader Karen notes:

OK, just echoes and not “chilling echoes” like Dennis Cannon.

It’s not Derrick Bird who’s the benchmark of tabloid killers – it’s Raoul Moat.

In Clitheroe, no-one was shot. No-one died.
