Lincoln Savage And The Greatest BBC Lincolnshire Hip-Hop Story Ever

by | 27th, July 2010

LINCOLN Savage, aka Linc, is, says the BBC website, “fast becoming the leading exponent of hip-hop in Lincolnshire.

Is that the greatest line ever written in music press? CANorak, Anorak’s music mag, thinks it might be.

You can hear Linc on “BBC Lincolnshire Introducing but also on 6 Music’s Huw Stephen’s show”.

Six Music was in line to be canned not so long ago in what turned out to be Whispa experiment in PR.

Our writer then tries to top their earlier line with this gem:

“I’m modest about my music but I genuinely believe that I’m one of the best lyricists in the county.” A bold claim and one that might be viewed as arrogant, not with Linc, due to complete self-belief paired with his humbleness, he comes across as the genuine article.

Lincolnshire – it’s a language of its own…
