Hibs Fan Fined £25,000 For Setting Aberdeen Supporter On Fire

by | 25th, August 2010

HIBERNIAN FC supporter Peter Wallace, 24, will pay Aberdeen supporter Arjuna Rabindranath £25,000 for setting him on fire.

Mr Rabindranath was at the time of the offence dressed as a sheep (white tracksuit and cotton wool) – it being close to Halloween 2009. He is on an Edinburgh to Aberdeen following Aberdeen’s match at Hibs.

At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, Wallace admits to culpable and reckless conduct.

The pair were among fans, many of them in fancy dress for Halloween, returning from Aberdeen’s SPL game at Hibs.

The victim suffered serious burns to more than 40% of his body.
