Scare Story: Sex Tests For 11 Year Olds
SCARE Story of the Day is the Mail’s news that school children “face GCSE sex test… at the age of 11”.
Yeah, as late as that. By 11 the nippers are already well on the path to debauchery.
Says Laura Clark:
Children as young as 11 will earn a qualification in ‘sex’ worth a quarter of a GCSE for answering questions about putting on condoms and obtaining the morning-after pill.
Is there a practical element? Clark’s not saying, but the facts are the facts. The 11-year-old children WILL do this.
Only, they won’t. The course in being offered to secondary school pupils aged 14 and above. So far only nine secondary schools have agreed to teach ‘Level One Award in Sexual Health Awareness’.
And the news that 11-year-old can take the course is a “theory”, or a Daily Mail fantasy. Look out for some brainiac toddler holding his award in sex when the exam results come up…
