Nick Clegg’s New York Photos: Poppet Takes Manhattan

POOR old Mr Nick Clegg. He should be big news as he strides about New York City, meeting the knobs in the UN, holding a Question and Answer session with students at New York University, joshing with the NYPD and taking a walk in the Big Apple with the look of a man whose thinking of making an offer on the place.
But it all went wrong when Vince Cable called City workers “spivs” – you know, those finance men like Nick Clegg’s dad, David Laws, lots of LibDem donors and members, Prince William and himself – because what else do Business Secretaries do apart from work in finance..?
