Rolling Stone Wife Jo Wood Is Beyond Parody On Her Indian Pilgrimage
JO Wood, estranged wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood is on a “pilgrimage” across India. She’s keeping her diary in Hello!. It is beyond parody.
Having flown to India and then taken a connecting flight to Coimbatore, Jo writes:
“There are dogs and cows in the road, and crazy driving. I’ve arrived.”
She has not arrived at her journey’s end, rather Jo has rocked up to her ashram.
Jo heads to a “tree graveyard”. She is saluting Project Greenhands, which raises awareness for environmental issues.
Says Jo of the jet plane:
“I plant a little tree. It’s good to know I’ve given a plant life.”
Then a vignette that stands repeating. Green Jo is now in a car:
“…we pass a little old lady whose bent double as she shuffles along the road. Her flip-flops are worn through so I take off mine and give them to her. Her face lights up. It’s puts life into perspective for me. A pair of flip-flops means nothing to me, but to her they mean everything.”
Although a lift would be nice.
Jo then takes a walk among organic orange trees and sinks into tank full of energised water. Late she takes a walk about the hotel golf course.
Later still, and Jo is on a 17-hour drive over sand dunes, through rivers and over mudslides. A lake is seen:
“Sadhguru isn’t happy. The lake used to be turquoise but now it’s murky with mud from the construction of the roads.”
For the, er, cars to drive along?
Intrepid Jo soon reaches the top of Mount Kalish. She feels as though she could “fly” down. She chooses to walk. A teenager called Cheeky carries her stuff. Cheeky has her own flip-flops.
A few days later and Joe is sat in a hot bath in her hotel. She then flies home, having made her world a better, greener place…

Rolling Stone Mick Jagger and his girlfriend actress Marianne Faithfull , who were arrested last night in a police raid. The couple appeared at Marlborough Street Magistrates Court to face charges of having the drug Cannabis. They were remanded on bail until June 23rd. Police raided 25 year old singer Jagger's new home in Cheyne Walk, Chelsea last night and seizes several substances which were taken for analysis. After being charged the couple were released on £50 bail each.
