Teenagers Accused Of Murdering Suspected, Rapist, Paedophile Groper

IN the Old Bailey dock, a 14-year-old girl is accused of murdering Robert Daley, 45, when she learnt he would not be charged for allegedly sexually assaulting her or her older sister, aged 16.

The Crown Prosecution Service had ruled there was insufficient evidence to charge him.

The Mail terms him an alleged “rapist”.
The Mirror calls him a “suspected paedophile”.
The Sun says: “In the months leading up to his death Mr Daley had been accused by the 16-year-old elder sister of groping and touching her.”

Having learnt the news, Mr Daley called the 16-year-old girl.

She texted him back:

“Stop calling and texting me. I really don’t want anything to do with you. You are a perverted man and I can never forgive you.”

More calls followed.

On the morning of his death on April 2001, Mr Daley was told by police that he was free. The case was dropped. Later that day, the 14-year-old teenager went to see Mr Daley at his flat in Ferndale Road, Stockwell, London. She was not alone. With her was a boy of 14. (Both are now aged 15.)

At his home, Mr Daley was stabbed, twice in the heart. He was heard to shout:
“They have stabbed my artery.”

The girl says that during the visit Mr Daly sexually assaulted her. She claims the boy stabbed him to help her get away.

The crown says both teenagers are responsible for Mr Daley’s death.

And we wonder: does hearing that Mr Daley was a suspected paedophile make you side with the accused?
